With a homely feel, guests have a variety of rooms and facilities available. Originally established in 1998 Backpackers Villa opened an additional building in 2009. The two buildings complement each other perfectly being a mix of traditional and new. In the 200-year old Chalet building there are shared facilities with both private or dorm options. Individual private rooms with shower/toilet en-suite can be booked in the new building. Whatever your choice, your accommodation comes with all you can eat breakfast, 24h access to shared kitchen, linen (put on) and towel for all incl. dorms, private lockers, free WiFi, free access to local public swimming pools and mini golf, free use of public buses and all taxes. The hostel is 100% carbon neutral (myclimate.org - compensate, what cannot be avoided).
Backpackers Villa has won numerous awards including Best Hostel Switzerland for many years since 2009 and featured among the top ten hostels worldwide in 2014, 2015, 2016 2018 and 2020.
Interlaken suits all tastes, from families to adrenaline junkies. Surrounded by the beautiful Swiss Alps, it is an ideal base to explore the impressive Jungfrau region on foot, bike or by cable car. In winter skiing packages are available with Outdoor-Interlaken.
