We aim to provide quality, budget accommodation for backpackers in Inverness. The Scottish Tourist Board has given the hostel a 4 star rating, making us the only 4 star independent hostel in Inverness. Located in front of Inverness Castle, Bazpackers is an old Victorian town house built in 1826 and converted in 1996 to form a modern hostel. We are the smallest hostel in Inverness and just 5 minutes from the city centre, close to everything but out of the city centre noise.

As well as a cosy and well-maintained interior, Bazpackers’ also boasts a large garden which offers some quite stunning views over the rooftops of the city – not to mention our west and south facing rooms that look out over the River Ness, Ness Bank Church and St Andrews Cathedral.
We have 34 beds in a variety of rooms. All bedding is provided (sheets, duvets, pillow and sleep sheet) and changed daily. All bunks come with individual reading / nightlights . We only use ‘proper’ sprung mattresses, to give a great night’s sleep and these are changed regularly.
Every one of our 10 rooms are slightly different, some with a river view, others overlooking the castle, but all have been sympathetically refurbished to provide modern, clean & comfortable accommodation. All rooms are carpeted and feature double glazing to cut out the noise and cold and every room is centrally heated with individual thermostats to control the heat in each room.
We have two mixed dorms (6 bed rooms), a female only dorm (4 bed room) and a quad (four bed room).
Our private rooms consist of three doubles (double bed), two twins (2 single beds) and a self catering apartment (sleeps 4 in a shared room).

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay
Terms and Conditions
Reception is open 0730-2300. Check in is 1400-2300. You may arrive before check in and store your bags for free. Late arrivals must advise reception as early as possible and a late check in charge may be applied (5£ per half hour). We reserve the right not to accept very late check-in’s.
All under 17′s must be accompanied by an adult and be in a private room.
We cannot accept on-line bookings of more than 6 people or for more than 7 consecutive days. We are a tourist hostel and cannot accommodate stag / hen parties or groups of working people. Please call us direct if you require further information.
Please note; we require photo ID from all guests and reserve the right to refuse anyone access to the hostel.
Groups that wish to be together in the same dorm must contact us directly in advance to arrange this, as we cannot guarantee that you will be accommodated at the time of your booking.
