Pal's Hostel & Apartments

Pal’s Hostel and Apartments is not a regular hostel but a chain of apartments literally in the heart of Budapest.

About Our Hostel

We are located just next to the famous St. Stephen’s Basilica, which is the biggest church of the city. Everything’s in walking distance but we are also super close to the intersection of three metro lines if you prefer taking the public transport. From the hostel you can easily walk to most of the sights, such as the Chain Bridge, the Parliament, Andrassy Avenue (which is part of the World Heritage), the Opera House, the Synagogue, the National Museum, Vaci Street, Vorosmarty Square and the famous Old Jewish District where the ruin bars are located. We won the Hoscar of ‘Best Hostel in Hungary 2013’:) We have several rooms/apartments around the square all of them are close to each other and to the main building where the reception is. If you are looking for privacy and a good night sleep we are the answer to the question. We offer private rooms and spacious apartments but if you want to meet fellow travellers you can also book a bed in our dormitory. The reception is located in the main building and it’s open for most of the day, if you want to hang out, play playstation or table foosball, watch a movie on our projector, use our guest computers or just chill out on our balcony whilst staring at the Basilica. If you arrive before check in time or your flight is later on the day and you still have some time to kill, you can use everything at the reception. We have bathroom facilities and a big kitchen as well. We can help you with everything. You can print your e-ticket, buy tickets for the Széchenyi baths, Gellért baths or the cruises. We also sell the Budapest Card. We have reasonable local knowledge to give you advice. If you want we can pick you up at the airport and do your laundry as well Directions If you are arriving to the airport terminals, you can either take bus 200E to the final station (Kőbánya-Kispest) and then change to metro 3 (blue line) to ‘Deák Ferenc tér’ (10th stop). From there it’s just a short walk towards the Basilica. It takes roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes. You’ll need validated tickets for the public transport. Or you can choose our quick and easy airport transfer service. If you are arriving to the International Bus station (Népliget), you can metro 3 (blue line) to ‘Deák Ferenc tér’ (6th stop). If you are arriving to Keleti Railway station you can easily hop on metro 2 (red line) to ‘Deák Ferenc tér’ (3rd stop). You can buy a short-section ticket for the metro.
