No. 14 Lovel St has a cosy ‘home away from home’ feel, retaining many original traditional weatherboard home features but with modern updates like central heating and a gas fireplace in the main lounge, digital security, and WiFi. There are no TVs or radios etc. This is a unique peaceful quiet retreat and not your typical or ‘party’ hostel.
Features include a cosy guest lounge/dining area, a separate library with a Mac for guest use, lots of books & games/puzzles, free WiFi, outdoor dining on the deck, and a sunny verandah overlooking a lovely garden. There are just 11 rooms including shared and private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. There is also one ensuite room, which can sleep 3 people. Bedlinen and towels are provided.
The large fully equipped kitchen is available for you to use. Supermarkets and shops are a short walk away. We also have breakfast cereals (oats/muesli/cornflakes) with full/skim/soy milk, tea and coffee; available all day. All rooms have a designated storage area in the communal fridge and cupboards. There are a range restaurants and cafes as well as shops and services less than 10min walk away in Katoomba.
